I find all the comments on this page quite amusing. Preteen kids who want to be in a counterculture/underground scene pretend they are by bashing "Preps" And yet it is obvious to those who have been around long enough that the labels "goth" and "emo" and "prep" have been fed to them by the media, as it sells things. Hot Topic and other such "goth" or "emo" stores are just as part of the corporate machine as Abercrombie and Fitch... Be what you want to be, but don't believe that you are part of some "underground subculture" those were subverted by the "Mainstream" long ago
